Church Covenant & Christian Responsibility

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior; and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.

Covenant Concerning the Church

To walk together in Christian love.

(John 13:34-35)

To strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort.

(II Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 4:3)

To promote this church’s prosperity and spirituality.

(Philippians 1:27; II Corinthians 7:1)

To sustain this church’s worship practices, ordinances, discipline and doctrines.

(Hebrews 10:25; Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 11:23-26; Jude 3)

Covenant Concerning Stewardship

To financially support the works of ministries of the Church by giving tithes and offerings of income, while maintaining wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90 percent.

(II Corinthians 9:6-8)

To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry.

(I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 9:6-7)

To contribute to the expense of the church.

(Malachi 3:8-10)

To aid in the relief of the poor.

(Matthew 25:34-40)

To spread the Gospel to all nations.

(Matthew 28:19-10; Acts 1:8)

Covenant Concerning the Home

To maintain family and secret devotions.

(I Thessalonians 5:17-18; Acts 17:11)

To maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible Study, prayer, and meditation.

(II Timothy 2:15)

To maintain proper priorities in our individual homes.
